Mid-City Art Studio a place for art, weddings, or to stay a while and relax in New Orleans Although Fig Street Guest House closed due to Hurricane Katrina I have now begun to open a Mid City Art Studio on N. Solomon St off Canal right on the Streetcar line. I use the "studio" to stay overnight in New Orleans when I have to. As an office, wedding chapel and am able to sub-let it to people. Close to Jazz Fest, City Park, and streetcar ride to French Quarter. Located in the beautiful Old Carrollton area of lovely New Orleans, just blocks from the Street Car line. Fig House has two bedrooms, a full kitchen and full bath all recently re-decorated. Laundry facilities are on the premises along with a small patio and gas grill for guest use. Rental is either by the room or all rooms, either for a semester or a short stay while looking for a more permanent place. Transit lines, buses, restaurants, and music clubs are all just a few blocks walk. A full service Walgreen's drug store with food items is 2 blocks away. Located next to Notre Dame Seminary one block past Earhart Blvd from the Carrollton South Exit on Interstate 10.
