Due to insurance issues I can no longer use my studio for a wedding but I have made arrangements to use the area around the Louisiana Welcome Center, in the Slidell-Pearl River area. here is a map and web page with info http://www.louisianatravel.com/pearl-river-welcome-center

For couples who just want to get married at a reasonable price I meet them near Slidell during during office hours weekdays at the Louisiana Rest Area and Tourist Info centers. There is plenty of room with covered picnic areas and sometimes indoors in bad weather. The couple needs a state of Louisiana marriage license but usually we can find the necessary 2 witnesses as the welcome center has staff and visitors during office hours. Most military couples prefer this spot as they can get a license and get back to their military base quickly. The base fee is $100 but call, if you are on a budget, I may be available when not real busy.
I no longer use the room in my studio as my insurance agent felt I needed commercial insurance for that purpose as I am not a commercial operation but simply a wedding minister and retired I do not feel I need that much insurance.
This is a simple quick wedding or elopement at or near my art studio in Slidell, LA which is a 35 minute drive from downtown New Orleans. Most weddings carry a ceremony fee of $100.00 during weekdays. Most weekends I am in New Orleans doing weddings at French Quarter Hotels.
Dr. Schwehm is willing to go to your location and conduct
a Theme Wedding if you like. He has done, Jazz Weddings, Mardi Gras
Weddings, Pirates Weddings and others just ask.
